NOVAFELTRIA

DESCRIPTION

Novafeltria’s name was “Mercatino Marecchia” until 1941. Currently Novafeltria is the centerpiece of Valmarecchia, where all economic activities converge. It was part of the province of Pesaro-Urbino until 22 Agust, 2009, then it was detached together with other towns, changing both Region and Province.

In the village of Pericara (old mining town) there is a historic mining Museum, which shows the important activity perpetuated over the centuries to extract sulfur. The villages of Uffogliano, Secchiano, Miniera, Sartiano and Torricella are part of this territory.
